IDIOM: "SAFE AND SOUND"

SAFE AND SOUND 

Hi everyone! Hola a todos. My name is Mr. Pea y juntos vamos a aprender a hablar en inglés. Hoy vamos a hablar sobre el idiom SAFE AND SOUND. ¿Estáis preparadas y preparados? Here we go!

Safe and sound es una expresión muy común en inglés que significa “sano y salvo” o “a salvo”. Se utiliza cuando alguien llega a un lugar sin problemas, especialmente después de un viaje o de una situación en la que podía haber algún riesgo. Recuerda que al ser una frase hecha, no tiene una traducción literal, es decir que no tiene nada que ver con “sonido”.

Veamos un ejemplo en una frase:
👉 I arrived safe and sound (He llegado bien, sano y salvo).
